SAN JUAN CAPISTRANO, California (March 5, 2014)- As many as 7 vehicles were involved in a pile-up resulting in at least one car overturning Wednesday morning at 7:15 a.m. on the northbound Interstate 5 Freeway at Avery Parkway off-ramp, according to the California Highway Patrol.
CHP officers arrived and reported that a white Ford Focus, a black SUV, and several other vehicles were effected by the collision.
The local fire department and paramedics were present to assist the driver occupying the white Ford Focus and possibly others as well. The Nos. 2, 3 and 4 were blocked while firefighter and EMT personnel treated injured subject(s).
Two tow-trucks helped clear up the scene and remove non-operative vehicles needing assistance.
A thorough investigation will take place to determine which driver caused the pile-up and will be held accountable.
“All subjects sustaining injuries from this accident will have a claim against the driver found liable in this collision,” said Attorney West Seegmiller, a California personal injury lawyer.
