Both cars went off roadway, into bushes; at least one injured

GRANITE BAY, CALIFORNIA (November 23, 2014) – Two vehicles went off the roadway and into the bushes after colliding head-on at the intersection of Barton and Eureka roads on Sunday, California Highway Patrol Officers reported.

The crash involving a black Infiniti FX35 and a vehicle of unknown make and model  took  place at 4:07 p.m.

Placer County Sheriff’s Office called for the fire department and the paramedics to attend to at least one party who suffered minor injuries.

As stated in the dispatch, a sparkling power pole, with 500 to 1000 feet of wire, was down following the collision. The incident forced the roadway to shut down.

Tow-trucks were requested to assist in the clearing of the crash site.

Authorities will conduct an investigation to determine liability.

At least one injured party taken to hospital

POLLOCK PINES, CALIFORNIA (November 23, 2014) – An injury head-on collision occurred on U.S Highway 50 near Ice House Road, Sunday, California Highway Patrol Officers reported.

The crash involving a white Acura MDX and a black Subaru Outback took place at 3:41 p.m.

The local fire department along with the paramedics responded to the scene to transport at least one party, who reportedly suffered minor injuries, to an area hospital for treatment.

According to the dispatch, a witness testified that the driver of the Subaru went across traffic and t-boned the Acura MDX. Both vehicles went off the roadway. One went into a ditch following the collision.

Tow-trucks arrived to assist in the clearing of the crash site.

The incident remains under investigation.

Motorcycle and big rig collide

SAN CLEMENTE, CALIFORNIA (November 23, 2014) – A motorcyclist was killed after crashing into a big rig  on Interstate 5 freeway near Camino de Estrella, Sunday, The Orange County Register reported.

As per the article, authorities said that the paramedics were called at 10:49 a.m.  The rider was pronounced dead at the scene, Capt. Shane Sherwood of the Orange County Fire Authority affirmed in the report.

The identity of the fatally injured victim has not been yet released.

According to The Orange County Register, a dispatcher from the California Highway Patrol noted that four lanes of the freeway were forced to shut down for more than three hours after the deadly collision while only one lane remained opened.

As of 2:20 p.m., lanes were cleared, per the report.

The incident remains under investigation.

SANTA BARBARA, CALIFORNIA (November 23rd, 2014) – At least one suffered major injuries after two vehicles collided on the southbound lanes of Highway 101 near Mission Street’s off-ramp this Sunday morning at about 2:12 a.m., according to California Highway Patrol dispatch.

Paramedics were in transit when the dispatch logged their report.

No other information has been publicly released at this time.

NOVATO, CALIFORNIA (November 23rd, 2014) – Two died and one sustained moderate to major injuries after a Toyota Camry was traveling the wrong way on the southbound lanes of Highway 101 near the Redwood Sanitary Landfill and collided head-on into a Nissan Sentra this Sunday at about 12:02 a.m., as stated by CBS San Francisco Bay Area news.

The Sentra was overturned and was hit soon after by a Dodge Ram pick-up truck.

Drivers of the Camry and Sentra were pronounced dead on scene, the passenger in the Sentra was rushed to a local medical center, and the driver of the Ram was uninjured.

Alcohol is believed to be a factor in this incident.
